Objective:
Students will become familiar with basic financial
concepts and issues that affect decision making in the firm,
as well as general overview of capital market structures. The
course will attempt to demystify the function and decision
making process of the controller and chief financial officer
in an organization by describing commonly used financial terms
and concepts in simple, easy to understand language. Students
who take this class will acquire a better understanding of
financial decision making and its effect on the firm, which
will help them make better decisions to positively affect the
bottom line.
Who Should Attend:
This curriculum is designed for middle managers who have not received
formal training in finance. Specifically engineering managers,
sales managers, marketing managers, human resources managers,
operations managers, general managers, high level supervisors,
customer service managers, maintenance managers, facilities
managers and any other middle manager who must work with a
budget, capital expenditures or any other issues where a general
knowledge of financial concepts would be beneficial.
